Ant Group, the parent company of Alipay, has acquired Hong Kong's Bright Smart Securities. The acquisition has received approvals from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and relevant Chinese regulatory departments. Settlement is scheduled for March 30, with the stock resuming trading on March 17.



Bright Smart Securities holds comprehensive licenses from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission for categories 1/2/4/5/7/9.

Key features include low commissions, with online securities trading commissions as low as 0.01%.

The company has approximately 300 employees, close to 580,000 customers, and total customer assets of approximately HK$60.5 billion.
