Gate News reports, on March 10, three close sources revealed that the Trump administration in the United States has asked Israel to cease airstrikes targeting Iran's energy facilities, especially oil facilities. This is believed to be the first time since the US and Israel began joint military operations against Iran that the US has issued clear restrictions on Israel's military actions. The main reasons given by the US government for this request include the potential to drive up global oil prices and provoke a large-scale retaliatory response from Iran targeting energy facilities in the Gulf countries. Sources said that the Trump administration considers attacking Iran's oil facilities an "extremely last resort" measure, only to be carried out if Iran previously attacks energy facilities in Gulf nations.
