CCEC appoints Martin Houston as the new Chairman… Accelerating the growth of the liquefied natural gas market
Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. (CCEC) announces new leadership changes. Martin Houston has been appointed Chairman of the Board, while former Chairman Keith Fumman will serve as Vice Chairman.
Speaking about his new role, Martin Houston said, “With the global liquefied natural gas and related shipping markets expected to grow by 50% over the next five years, I am very proud and excited to serve as Chairman of CCEC. Under Keith’s leadership, CCEC successfully transformed, focusing on natural gas transportation, especially LNG shipping. I am also pleased that Keith will continue to contribute to the company’s development as Vice Chairman.”
On the other hand, Fumman stated, “It has been an honor to serve as Chairman of CCEC and its predecessor, Capital Product Partners L.P., for the past eight years and achieve many milestones. Notably, we completed the transition from a management partnership to a major enterprise and expanded our LNG shipping business, which is a significant accomplishment.” He added, “Martin has extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of the LNG market, making him the right leader for CCEC. I look forward to supporting Martin and the management team as Vice Chairman.”
Martin Houston began his career in 1979 as an oil geologist and has 46 years of extensive experience in the energy industry, holding various positions. He is currently Chairman of Omega Oil and Gas Ltd., serves as a non-executive director for several international companies, and is an advisor to Moelis & Company.
Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. is an international shipping company operating natural gas transportation solutions aimed at energy transition. The company currently owns 14 high-specification vessels, with an additional 18 state-of-the-art LNG carriers scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2029.
