Vitalik Buterin proposes a mechanism for transaction confirmation and enhancing Ethereum security
Ethereum Vitalik Buterin recently shared a comprehensive idea on the X platform to improve user experience and protect digital assets on the network. First, he emphasized the importance of mechanisms that allow users to control their transactions before final submission.
Among the proposed innovations, the key feature is transaction simulation — technology that enables users to preview the results of planned actions on the blockchain. According to analysts at PANews, users will be able to specify their intended operations and then confirm or cancel them based on the simulation results. This approach significantly reduces the risk of unexpected losses.
Authorization mechanisms as risk safeguards
Buterin also recommends implementing additional security layers, including gas fee limits and multi-signature authorization. These mechanisms aim to align actual transaction outcomes with user expectations and established risk parameters. The main goal is to create an environment where users have full control over their assets and can confidently confirm each operation.
Complexity of intent and multiple verification levels
However, Buterin believes that accurately determining a user’s true intentions is a significant technical challenge. He clearly states that achieving absolute security on the blockchain is impossible, and therefore proposes multi-level verification measures for user intentions. This will help strengthen the overall security architecture of the system and reduce potential attack vectors.
Security in the context of the blockchain trilemma
Security is traditionally considered one of the three main challenges in blockchain development, alongside decentralization and scalability. In recent years, Ethereum has focused heavily on optimizing the latter two aspects. Interestingly, Buterin has also previously advocated for using large language models (LLMs) to enhance decentralized governance, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to ecosystem evolution.
Thus, the transaction confirmation and simulation mechanisms proposed by Vitalik represent an important step toward increasing user trust in Ethereum and enhancing the overall network security.
