$5.3B Blockchain Company HACKED - Your Data Could Be Next


Figure Technologies confirmed a data breach after hackers tricked an employee using social engineering.
What leaked: → Full names → Home addresses → Dates of birth → Phone numbers
Hacking group ShinyHunters claimed responsibility. Figure refused to pay ransom, so they published 2.5 GB of stolen data.
This was part of a larger attack targeting Okta users. Harvard and UPenn were also hit.
Key takeaway: Even a $5.3B blockchain company can fall to simple human error. Tech is only as strong as its weakest link.
