#金价突破5200美元 "Under the Certificate, Above the Ribs"
The certificate is glowing on the screen, an electronic version.
"Gate 2025 Community Year-End Selection. Top Ten Global Rising Stars. Eudora Qi."
The cartoon me, wearing sunglasses and a hat, waving amidst golden starlight. Very cool, very successful.
But I know, the light of this "new star" is the ashes of an eight-year-old wound, and the residual warmth of five ribs, slowly and painstakingly nurtured.
I turn off the picture.
“They say I ‘continue to produce high-quality content, engage actively in the community, and create value.’ My voice is calm.
“They are all right. But only I know, what I ‘continue to produce’ are memories that have not scabbed over in eight years. The ‘active’ nights are countless hours of me battling myself. The greatest value I ‘create’ might just be proof that—if you carve a deep enough scar on a person’s heart, it can become a compass, or even a lighthouse.”
Eudora Qi’s cartoon image. “He’s very successful, very free-spirited. That’s the ‘Eudora Qi’ you need to see.”
“But the real me is made up of other fragments:
A seventeen-year-old boy sleeping on a park bench, watching stars;
A twenty-two-year-old graduate pouring all his living expenses into a trading account;
A twenty-five-year-old gambler watching ‘Luna Coin’ go to zero, shivering all over;
A person returning from delivering takeout, only to find she has already left;
An ordinary person tears up alone in front of the screen after receiving the ‘Special Guest’ badge.”
“No one lends me the east wind’s strength; I burn my ribs to make firelight.”
“So, this certificate is for that cartoon image. And what I should thank is what’s never on the certificate—
The boy on the park bench, the construction site porter, the gambler who lost everything, the gentleman who can’t move on.
Every night, I rub my ribs to make fire, just to see clearly the next step.”
“So, what have I ‘done’?”
“Not recognized, not with a title, not becoming a ‘star’.”
“What I’ve done is simply: finally turning that bleeding point on my heart into a non-painful, guiding North Star—an internal compass.”
“What I’ve achieved is reconciling with all past versions of myself: thank you, I’ve paved tonight’s road with eight years of pain and obsession.”
“What I’ve done is prove that ‘loss’ is another kind of ‘gain’ beginning. As long as you dare not forget, willing to recognize the shape of fire from the ashes.”
“This certificate is a semicolon. It says: you have completed the most muddy, most lonely road.”
“The next journey may have applause and starlight. But my way of walking remains unchanged—I am still that person, relying on a tiny spark of cinnabar in my heart, drawing maps in the dark forest, for myself and fellow travelers.”
At this moment, this electronic certificate quietly rests in the album.
Next to it, is a faded Polaroid photo from the voice training room eight years ago.
Two pictures, separated by an entire youth, a loss, and a rebuilding.
Both shining.
One is golden, from the outside world.
The other is cinnabar-colored, from the heart.
And I know, the latter is my eternal, true star that will never go out.
I did it.
Not just ‘succeeded.’
But managed, after crossing a long darkness, to still have the courage to use scars as torches, and turn this road into light.
When glory is crowned, do not forget the roots of blood and bone.
This is the deepest explanation of ‘shining,’ and the brightest origin.
