Wrapped bitcoin landscape is shifting hard. In just half a year, one major custody-backed variant pulled in $7.3b—and institutions aren't shy about the premium they're willing to pay for it. That whale taking a $21.68m hit to dump 700 wbtc? Classic move when custody concerns start creeping in. The lawsuit withdrawal between a major custody provider and an exchange signals the competitive chapter is closing. Market caps could realign dramatically within 12 months—watch this space.

This wave of WBTC is indeed a bit chaotic. Large investors lost over 20 million and dumped their holdings. What does that indicate? It just shows that there's growing distrust towards those custodians.

wBTC this wave is indeed a bit chaotic, with 7.3 billion coming in but at the same time whales are fleeing... indicating that institutions are actually not very confident either.

That big plunge of WBTC, I knew it would happen... The institutions are really scared, trembling over custody issues. That whale lost 20 million and still dumped, which is just showing weakness. What does it mean to withdraw or refile a lawsuit? In a nicer way, it's called settlement; in a harsher way, it's admitting defeat. There will definitely be more drama in the second half of the year. Whoever runs first wins.

Throwing out 700 WBTC all at once—this guy's confidence must be huge... That said, custody is indeed becoming an increasingly critical factor for success.

Really, that whale lost 21 million and still insisted on dumping, what does that say... The custody issue really can't be avoided.

Wrapped BTC this time is really a game for institutional players. What are retail investors trying to join in the fun for?
