Panic selling hits hardest when you watch your own portfolio bleed red. That's when most traders bail. Yet that's precisely when seasoned investors make their boldest moves—buying assets everyone else is dumping. The greater the fear around you, the greater the opportunity ahead. It sounds counterintuitive. It feels terrifying. But that's how fortunes get built in bear markets.

Ironically, 99% of the people who say this have never actually experienced a margin call. Data shows that retail investors have less than an 8% success rate in bottom-fishing, and most who consider themselves "seasoned" are actually just survivors' bias.

It sounds nice, but when it actually drops 50%, how many people dare to buy the dip? I, for one, chickened out.

Really? Every time the market drops, I watch others buy the dip while I hesitate myself, and end up missing out.

Well said, only when you can't hold on anymore can you make big money. The question is, who the hell can really hold on?

Sounds nice, but when it comes to dumping, everyone is just a rookie.

That's right, but who wouldn't be scared when that moment comes? The last time I plummeted, I thought the same way, but in the end, I still followed the crowd and sold. Haha.

That's quite right, but when it hits the daily limit down, who the hell would still remember these principles?
