You already get the concept of Layer 1 blockchains—Solana, Ethereum, Monad are textbook examples.

Here's the difference though: those three are built as general-purpose chains. They're designed to handle anything and everything across any use case without special optimization.

Then there's Fogo. Different animal entirely. It's purpose-built specifically for DeFi and trading operations. That focused approach changes the game completely.

The idea of Fogo is actually quite interesting. Can a vertical approach create a differentiated advantage? It depends on how the subsequent ecosystem follows up.
