Dr. Sohail Munir, Chairperson of the Pakistan Digital Authority, is confirmed to deliver a keynote address at the World Computer Day conference in Davos on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

As the founding leader of Pakistan's digital authority, Dr. Munir brings significant expertise in digital governance and technology policy. His participation in this prestigious international forum highlights the growing importance of blockchain and digital asset regulation within emerging markets.

The World Computer Day gathering in Davos serves as a critical platform where policymakers, tech innovators, and financial leaders converge to discuss the future of digital infrastructure, decentralized finance adoption, and cross-border digital commerce—key areas shaping the crypto industry's regulatory landscape globally.

Dr. Munir's insights are expected to focus on how developing nations approach digital authority frameworks and blockchain governance, positioning Pakistan's stance on Web3 innovation and crypto-asset oversight on the international stage.

Davos is about to start bouncing again, and emerging markets are finally daring to speak up. Pakistan wants to make a move in Web3? That’s an interesting approach. Regulatory frameworks... honestly, they’re just paving the way to cut the leeks. Waiting to see, it’s all just pretty words, and in the end, everyone does their own thing. Huh, are developing countries suddenly awakening collectively? That’s a pretty strong signal. Really? Pakistan is going to become a Web3 hub? I don’t think it’s that simple. Another emerging market wants a piece of the pie, industry competition is intensifying. But this guy really has some skills to be able to speak on the Davos stage. Cross-border commerce, DeFi... he’s covering quite a lot, but I wonder what the real operations look like. This news feels a bit like it’s trying to buy trending searches. Pakistan is finally making a move, looking forward to this operation. Multiple countries’ regulatory frameworks need to align? Looks like we’re in for some good shows.
