Since last year, I have been recommending allocating funds to gold ETFs to hedge against uncertainty, but recently the geopolitical situation has become more complex. Simply focusing on gold is no longer enough; we need to look at opportunities in other US stock sectors.

Recently, I have invested in some energy-related stocks, such as Vernova, a business under GE. Why focus on it? The reason is simple—geopolitical conflicts have directly increased the global demand for energy security, and countries are re-evaluating their energy independence. Against this backdrop, SMR small modular reactor nuclear technology has suddenly become very popular because it can both address energy shortages and is relatively safe and controllable.

These trend-based investment opportunities are often found at the intersection of major events and long-term demand. With geopolitical risk catalysts and technological direction confirmation, they are worth paying attention to.

Nuclear power is indeed attractive; it was about time to shift some from gold.

I'm also paying attention to nuclear energy, but will Vernova be too late? By the way, SMR technology sounds promising, but how long will it take to commercialize? Gold is indeed not enough, energy stocks are a bit interesting... where is the next hot spot? Oh wait, the more chaotic the geopolitical situation, the higher the risk premium. Would entering the energy sector now get you caught? I've heard SMR has good prospects, but I'm worried about policy changes. Nuclear energy is still controversial in Europe and America. I'm really not sure if Vernova is worth this price.

Nuclear power is indeed interesting, but whether Vernova can withstand policy changes remains to be seen. Selling gold to run energy? That's quite bold, but SMR is indeed a direction. How long can this wave of geopolitical dividends last? It still feels like we need to be cautious of political risks. Again, it's the "certain trend," how did that turn out last time we said so? Energy independence sounds good, but I'm just worried that capital will start speculating again.

Can SMR really take off this time? It still seems to depend on the policy enforcement in various countries.
