Here's my take: tariffs can jumpstart demand for domestic manufacturing, sure. But that's only half the battle. The real bottleneck? It's the labor side. Getting skilled workers trained up for modern production lines is where it gets messy.

Look at the numbers—there are over 400,000 open manufacturing positions across the US right now. And yet they're not filling. That's not because of demand. The constraint is supply—we simply don't have enough trained workers with the right skillset. You can slap tariffs on imports all day, but if your domestic factories can't find people who know how to run advanced equipment, you're still stuck. That's the harder problem to solve.

Exactly right, the key really is talent. Without skilled workers, it's all pointless.

The key is talent. Leaving 400,000 job positions vacant is the real problem; just imposing tariffs won't solve it.

Tariffs are just a cover fire; the real supply line has been cut — 400,000 vacant positions left unfilled, and that's the real problem on the battlefield.

The key is the people. Leaving 400,000 positions vacant is no small matter. Training skilled workers is indeed a huge challenge.

ngl, this is the real truth. Tariffs are just a temporary fix; the real issue lies in the talent gap.

400,000 vacant positions with no one to fill them... If only I had studied hard and learned skills back then, now I would be so regretful.

ngl this is the real issue. Tariffs are like writing a check to the factory, but what about the workers? Not a single one.
