Altcoin volatility arbitrage is indeed a deep water area; you need to find the right coins. The volatility differences are so large that a slight misselection can lead to being harvested. Going long on volatility sounds simple, but in practice, it takes a bit of luck. Another bunch of new varieties, is the exchange trying to get us to pay more in fees? With such high risks in altcoin options, caution is still necessary. The logic makes sense, but the liquidity of altcoins is worrying; how to exit is a problem. Volatility arbitrage sounds more reliable than betting on price rises or falls, but it also feels like a life-and-death situation. Timing and selecting the right products are easy to say, but few actually make money.
