Many Web3 projects focus on transaction fees right from the start, and I can understand why—cash flow is quick. But there's a trap: when everyone follows the path of transaction matching, only a few will survive in the end.

To put it simply, the transaction feature can be implemented, but it's just that—nothing more. It might be a stage of the product, but it shouldn't be the ultimate goal. The more eager you are to monetize through fees, the easier you fall into a red ocean of fierce competition. Conversely, projects that are willing to spend time refining truly differentiated product forms often can survive longer.

The key point is: the timing of the pivot is crucial. If you wait until everyone else has realized the need to change, it's already too late.

ngl the fee-extraction playbook is basically a liquidation cascade waiting to happen... everyone chasing the same revenue stream until suddenly nobody's standing. seen this movie before, it always ends the same way lol

It's the same old story, but it really hits home. To put it simply, the path of exchanges is just about undercutting prices, unless you truly have core competitiveness.

To be honest, this logic isn't wrong, but the problem is that most teams simply don't have that patience. The transaction fees are indeed attractive; they can sustain in the short term, but in the long run? Hehe. It's a gamble on who can hold on, so don't rush to harvest the profits.

The fee route is really too competitive; in the end, it all gets eaten up by the top players.

This idea is correct, but many teams simply can't stay patient and have to rely on transaction fees to chase quick money. As a result, it's all exchanges rushing in—who can really profit from that? The saying "The chrysanthemums have withered" is spot on; we really need to find a way out early. I've long felt that this path was dead, and now I understand why.

The data shows that, on an hourly basis, the dependency on trading pair fees has not decreased since April of last year. However, this thing will eventually collapse.

I'm already tired of the fact that exchanges are clustering; there are really only a few that can survive.
