Santiment: Ethereum social media sentiment is subdued, approaching the situation before previous market rallies

On January 11, the crypto sentiment analysis platform Santiment stated that the current social media sentiment discussing Ethereum has significantly declined, approaching the lows seen before the ETH market rally in 2025. When the crypto community begins to “give up” on Ethereum and sentiment becomes extremely low, prices often suddenly take off. ETH hit a yearly low of $1,472 on April 9, 2025, and in just four months surged nearly 70%, reaching close to the 2021 all-time high of $4,878 on August 23, 2025. Santiment analyst Brian Quinlivan said that the current bearish sentiment towards ETH indicates that it is unlikely to fall much further.
