Today I spent the entire afternoon trying to get a passport issued, but I failed!
The King of Hell is hard to please, and the officials in the domestic government offices are really difficult to deal with.
Here's a summary of my passport application process today: 1:30 PM, went to the Exit and Entry Administration Bureau to apply. I handed over the application form directly and was told to get the police station to sign and stamp. 2:00 PM, went to the police station to request a signature, and was told I needed to first get the village committee to sign and stamp. 2:30 PM, requested a signature at the village committee. The clerk said I had to wait for a certain leader. After waiting for a long time, I finally completed the signature and stamp under the leader's interrogation. 3:00 PM, at the police station, after questioning, I was told I needed to get Officer Feng, who oversees the community, to sign. 4:00 PM, Officer Feng went out for errands, waited for an hour. Finally, when he returned, I was told: "He doesn't have the authority to sign this form, you need to see Director Tian." Then I went upstairs to find Director Tian. After learning that I am unemployed and registered a tech company, the leader mocked me as just a shell company and told me I couldn't get the signature. He also said that Southeast Asia telecom fraud is very serious right now, and if I really want a passport, I must provide a contract from a travel agency! 4:30 PM, I had to give up and chose to call the 12345 municipal service hotline to file a complaint.
Summary and thoughts: 1. The officials in the government offices are very aloof; they won't speak unless it's their business. Forget it if they refuse to help, and they like to interrogate (asking where you're going, what you're doing, where you live, etc.), then after questioning, they say it's not their responsibility and tell you to find someone else! 2. The officials in various departments all dislike taking responsibility; in the end, everything must be signed by the top leader! (Maybe they’re not afraid of responsibility, but the leaders don’t delegate authority.)
This is the general process I went through to get my passport. (Name changed) Honestly, I just wanted to get a passport to make some money, I have no plans to go abroad, and I definitely don’t do telecom fraud. I didn’t expect it to be so difficult! Throughout this process, I felt like a criminal being interrogated, and in the end, I had to prove my innocence. I’ve already called 12345 to file a complaint. Hopefully, I’ll get a response tomorrow and resolve this issue. #护照 # Passport application
