Converting 2D images into 3D assets requires the right tools. I've tested several options and here's what stood out:
TRELLIS 2, Hunyuan3D-2.1, and Tripo are currently leading the pack. Each one delivers different strengths depending on what you're after.
After running these through their paces, TRELLIS 2 became my go-to choice for most use cases. The quality of the 3D output was consistently solid, and the workflow felt natural.
You can export everything as GLB files, which makes them plug-and-play for most Web3 platforms and metaverse applications. The conversion process is straightforward—feed in your image, get back a production-ready 3D asset.
Whichever tool you choose depends on your specific needs. But if you're serious about scaling 3D asset creation, these three are definitely worth your time to test.

trellis2 is indeed awesome. I was stuck with Hunyuan card for a long time before, but exporting GLB directly to Metaverse is much more convenient.

Watching TRELLIS 2 take off directly, this wave is quite worth it
ngl hunyuan3d is also okay, just a bit laggy
Exporting glb is really smooth, uploading directly to the chain is no problem
By the way, who has really used these assets in the metaverse...
TRELLIS can't compete with tripo, anyway I'm team tripo

TRELLIS 2 is really amazing, much faster than the other two. It's just that sometimes the details still need to be fine-tuned manually.

NGL Trellis2 is indeed awesome. I struggled with Hunyuan for a long time before, and it was still a bit subpar... Directly exporting GLB saves a lot of trouble.

glb format is really convenient, directly importing into the metaverse without hassle
---
Trellis2 has been used, indeed stable, but sometimes the details handling is just average
---
I've tried all three, honestly, it still depends on project needs, there’s no absolute winner
---
The entire Web3 3D asset creation process definitely needs to be accelerated, these tools finally arrived
---
When can we directly generate motion assets? Static models are not very useful
---
Tripo is fast, but I think its output quality still lags behind Hunyuan by one level
---
The ability to mass-produce production-grade 3D assets is what truly changes the game

NGL Trellis 2 definitely works well, but sometimes the export speed is a bit slow... However, the compatibility of the GLB format really can't be beaten.

Trellis 2 really works. I can directly put the models generated with it on the blockchain now, saving a lot of post-processing effort.
