A Turkish couple fell victim to AI-generated scam, deceived by a fake investment video, losing 1.5 million lira.

This case reveals a new application of generative AI in scams—creating fake investment tutorials or celebrity endorsements through deepfake technology. Victims often let their guard down because the videos appear sufficiently realistic, ultimately becoming "scapegoats."

Similar tactics are common in the crypto investment space: impersonating exchange customer service, false profit promises, synthetic celebrity endorsements… Criminals continuously upgrade their methods.

A few tips to avoid scams:
✓ Investment advice from unknown sources, verify even the most convincing videos
✓ Any opportunity promising high returns, verify through official channels
✓ Legitimate platforms will not ask for private keys or funds through unofficial channels
✓ If you encounter abnormal transfers, stopping losses immediately is wiser than dreaming of doubling your money

In the AI era, seeing is not always believing. Rational investing and cautious verification are the best security keys.

Deepfake has become so advanced? They can even fake videos. I don't even dare to click on links casually now, it's too dangerous.
