What characteristics do children from the lower social strata mostly have?
Because I have never seen a lot of money since I was young, and I have never watched someone earn a large sum of money from start to finish, it is hard to understand that every penny actually carries its own cause and effect. This money and that money may look the same, but in reality, they are completely different.
When you grow up, it is easy to take a big tumble in this regard.
In simple terms, whether you earn one million: is this money earned from working honestly, or from investing principal, or from partnering with someone in business, or from engaging in grey market activities, or from corruption and bribery, or simply from good luck, like earning from the demolition of an old house in the family?
When making money, did you owe anyone a favor, rely on someone’s connections for the project, borrow money for a guarantee, or have someone hold something against you, forcing you to pledge allegiance? Did you become tied to someone else like a grasshopper on the same rope?
Did making this money offend anyone? Did it harm anyone? Have you clearly divided the profits with your partners? Do your subordinates respect you? Is there anyone secretly holding a grudge against you?
Is it better to quietly make a fortune and enjoy it alone, or to have relatives and friends come knocking to congratulate you? Is it about being a digital nomad with all the money going into your own pocket, or supporting a dozen people, waking up every day to pay rent, utilities, and salaries?
To earn this money, has your health deteriorated, has there been turmoil at home, are the children left unruly without guidance, and are you so busy that you can't see your parents even once a year?
For example, did you earn this money when you were in your twenties or thirties, full of energy, or when you were in your seventies or eighties, unable to move or eat?
In each of the above situations, the money is still that one million, but the significance of it to you as a person is worlds apart.
So I often see people online commenting under posts showing off wealth: "If I had so much money, if I had this big villa, I can't even imagine how happy I would be." But it's really not like that.
You feel happy because you forcefully fit the idea of "having money" into your current life, where your health indicators are still normal, your relationships are simple and uncomplicated, and you haven't gotten into any trouble.
But the reality is that most wealthy people, while accumulating wealth, also accumulate a bunch of uncontrollable consequences. When these things add up, they often offset a large portion of the benefits that money brings.
So, what money can be earned and what money should not be touched, how to make choices, and how to calculate benefits and costs in the face of major decisions, this is something that only those who have truly experienced it or at least seen it with their own eyes can quickly figure out.
It is very difficult to learn to discern and judge just by talking reason.
