Retail investors keep their assets in the exchange and often ponder one question: is this money reliable? Especially in those years when the issue of platforms conducting Rug Pulls caused a lot of commotion, looking at the asset reports and liquidation proofs issued by the platform, to be honest, everyone feels a bit uncertain.

Recently, an interesting thing has emerged. The zero-knowledge reserve proof technology developed by Primus Labs and Succinct Labs seems to fundamentally address this trust issue. Rather than having the platform verbally assure that it has sufficient assets, it’s better to let mathematics speak for itself — algorithms do not lie. As long as the proof logic can be executed, it indicates that there really is that much money in the account.

The key lies in the technology of zkTLS. The platform does not want to disclose user position details and account information, which is actually understandable, as it involves privacy and trade secrets. But zkTLS operates on the principle of "data available but not visible"—the platform does not need to lay everything bare to allow outsiders to verify whether the assets truly exist. Privacy is protected, trust is established, and both parties actually benefit.

For retail investors, this is equivalent to getting an "asset passport". In the past, we were passive in front of the platform; whatever they said was what it was, and when problems arose, we could only consider ourselves unlucky. Now there is an objective standard for verification - if this mechanism really gets implemented, it will at least prevent the platform from being able to casually deceive.

It makes sense, but that being said, is zkTLS really reliable, or will it just be another Be Played for Suckers gimmick?

Mathematics doesn't lie, but whether the platform's implementation will lie is hard to say, huh.

Algorithm does not lie, but the platform does, haha
