The true bottoming occurs when others are too afraid to make a plan
Bottoming sounds very sexy, but the real successful bottoming often happens during periods of extreme boredom, extreme pessimism, and extreme quiet. Currently, the market is more in a “retracement period” rather than a “despair period.” This means opportunities are brewing but not yet mature.
My judgment is: now is the time to "prepare," not to "go all in." Preparation includes: clearly defining the maximum acceptable drawdown, planning the buy-in intervals in batches, and screening for truly valuable long-term mainstream assets. Only when emotions are truly shattered can plans be effectively implemented.
Regarding recent trading strategies, I will divide the funds into three parts: one part remains stable to deal with extreme market conditions; another part is used for swing trading to catch oversold rebounds; the last part is reserved for the true emotional bottom. Only in this way can we maintain the initiative in an uncertain market.
The market won't hit the bottom early because you're anxious, but it will reward those with patience and strategy. Instead of asking “Is this the bottom,” it's better to ask: If it’s not, can I still continue to survive in the market?
