Some people want to mess with you not for any real benefit, but simply because they don't want you to do well, or don't want you to be better than them. When you encounter people like this, leave as soon as possible. Before you go, don't argue or fight with them—just walk away. If they insult or humiliate you, as long as you know you'll never have to see them again, leave quickly. Learn from Han Xin and endure humiliation for the sake of your future. Your world will have far fewer people who negatively impact your growth and mood, and that's worth doing.

If you can't avoid this person—say they're a neighbor or a relative—then just ignore their nonsense. Focus on making money, work hard, and think only about earning more so that you, your family, and your friends can live better lives. Don't waste words on them; talking more is pointless. Keep a psychological and emotional distance, minimize communication and contact.
