12/08 Gate Strategy Bot Weekly Report

Last week (12/01–12/07), the crypto market sentiment warmed up under the dual influence of “ending QT” and “rate cut expectations,” but the price structure remained fragile. BTC repeatedly tried to break through the $90,000–$91,000 resistance zone, but due to insufficient capital inflows and high leverage density, it was quickly pushed back multiple times, overall maintaining a wide oscillation range between $88,000–$92,000.
Market volatility intensified significantly over the weekend: BTC first flashed down to $87,000, then quickly surged to $91,000, forming a typical “two-way liquidation.” This indicates the current market is highly event-driven, with weak directionality and concentrated positions, so any external variable can quickly amplify volatility.
The scale of USDT inflows into exchanges continues to rise, marking the strongest period in the past two months. However, these funds are more like short-term bets on this week’s events rather than medium- or long-term buying, so their support for the trend is limited.
This week enters the “Global Central Bank Week.” Multiple countries’ rate decisions, China’s CPI, market front-running of next week’s FOMC, and the Bank of Japan Governor Ueda’s final public speech before the silent period ahead of the 12/19 rate meeting. This speech is regarded as the final signal on whether Japan will raise rates in December, drawing high market attention.
Overall, short-term risk is elevated, while the mid-term structure remains robust due to ETF accumulation and long-term holders locking up coins. The direction will be determined by signals released by central banks this week.

1|Market Snapshot
BTC
Maintains an oscillation range between $88,000–$92,000. After two-way liquidation, the direction is temporarily unclear, but the capital structure remains bullish. Focus on whether it can break through the $90,000–$92,000 resistance zone.
ETH
Back above $3,000, structurally stable but lacking trending momentum, mainly oscillating with BTC—suitable for range strategies.
SOL
Still the most volatile among major coins, with rapid sentiment shifts and strong recovery ability—suitable for light positions and fast-paced strategies; not ideal for heavy directional bets.
For derivatives, the weekend saw large-scale two-way liquidations, with leveraged positions switching rapidly and extreme sensitivity to this week’s macro events. Emphasis should be placed on controlling leverage and position-adding frequency.
This week’s macro focus: multiple rate decisions, China’s CPI, whether Japan signals a rate hike, and markets front-running next week’s FOMC. The structure is event-driven, with strong short-term volatility, but mid-term liquidity remains solid.
