Don’t panic if you’re stuck in a position! Four tips to help you get out—easy for beginners to understand

1. Cut your losses decisively: If you bought at the top and the market suddenly crashes, don’t hesitate! Quickly “sacrifice the pawn to save the king” and close your position, even at a loss. As long as you still have capital, there will be plenty of opportunities to recover later.

2. Reverse hedging: Too deep in the red to cut losses? Open a position in the opposite direction. When the market drops lower (or rises higher), wait for the right news or timing, then close the profitable position and patiently wait for the other one to break even. (This works in a choppy market, but don’t use it in a trending market.)

3. Intraday T+0 trading: Here’s how to trade in a sideways market! Watch your coins closely, sell high and buy low, and use these short-term trades to reduce your average cost. But you need time to watch the market and some basic skills for this move—beginners shouldn’t try it recklessly.

4. Averaging down at the bottom: When a trending market is about to end and the price is stabilizing at a low or moving sideways, you can add to your position—how much depends on your own ability. The key: Only average down after confirming a solid bottom. Don’t rush to recover losses, or you’ll just end up deeper in the red. If you keep adding blindly, you’ll fall into the “adding fuel to the fire” trap!
