Looks like Nvidia just dodged a bullet in Washington. US lawmakers decided to leave out a provision from the defense bill that would've seriously restricted their ability to ship high-end AI chips to China.

This is huge for the chipmaker. The proposed measure was sitting in that must-pass legislation, which means it had serious momentum. But after what appears to be intense lobbying efforts, that restriction never made it into the final version.

Why does this matter? Advanced AI chips are the backbone of everything from machine learning infrastructure to crypto mining operations. Any limits on Nvidia's export capabilities would've rippled through global tech supply chains, potentially affecting data centers and computational resources worldwide.

For now, Nvidia keeps its flexibility in one of the world's largest markets. Whether this holds up as US-China tech policy continues evolving? That's the real question hanging over the industry.

This lobbying move is impressive, Nvidia played this hand beautifully. If the chip ban really goes through, the entire industry chain will have to be restructured.

Ha, it's the same old lobbying play—money talks, huh?

Ha, this move by Nvidia is impressive, it really shows their lobbying power is something else. Miners can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The days of being choked by chip restrictions are finally easing up, but we still have to watch the US's attitude moving forward. This issue between the US and China is far from over—it’s bound to flare up again sooner or later.

Uh, their lobbying skills are truly impressive. The chip giant just dodged it like that.

Nvidia is really lucky, all that lobbying money was worth it. --- Chip wars are always about money, no doubt about it. --- Just wait, if China-US relations change, this whole thing will have to start over again... --- Crypto miners can finally breathe a sigh of relief, GPU prices can finally stabilize for a while. --- Why does it always feel like tech companies are the ones winning in political games? --- This pretty much counts as confirmation, the sanction threats are basically just a paper tiger. --- The key is to see what happens next, it's too early to say things are stable now. --- Lobbyists' money is really powerful, they can even change a bill... it's kind of unbelievable. --- If the supply chain really got stuck, mining rig costs would skyrocket... good thing it didn't happen.

Huang's lobbying skills are incredible this time; those people in Washington still have to toe the line. Ngl, if they really cut off chip exports to China, mining infrastructure would collapse immediately. It's just political games. In the end, no one can bypass the Chinese market. It really is "an unstoppable trend." No matter how much the regulators mess around, nothing will really change. Now it's settled— the global chip supply chain can keep running, and miners can sleep soundly again.

Lao Huang really made a profit this time, the lobbying team’s money wasn’t spent in vain. --- As for the chip ban, we’ll have to wait and see what happens next. Feels like it’s just a temporary breather. --- To put it simply, it’s all about money—just a political game. --- Miners are saved, haha. --- The China-US chip war is far from over. Hard to say how long this decision will last. --- Nvidia barely dodged this one. If they really got restricted, the computing power market would collapse. --- Isn’t it just about making more money from China? Anyone with sense can see that. --- The supply chain really needs to be stable, otherwise the whole world’s going to stall. --- So funny, once the policy changes, it’s a whole different story. --- This is just the prologue, there’s more trouble to come.
