The data behind this recent price surge can't be hidden anymore—

WINTERMUTE scooped up 8,577 coins, a major exchange took in 7,658 coins, a whale address aggressively accumulated 6,610 coins, a compliant platform secured 5,860 coins, and BitMEX and Bitfinex each topped up with 5,818 and 5,778 coins, respectively. With moves like these, do you really think this is a natural retail-driven market? I sure don't.

But why did the market suddenly dare to buy in? You have to connect two events:

First, the Strategy company crisis was finally resolved on December 1st—they announced they would use $140 million in cash reserves and stabilize the situation by raising funds through selling their own stock. Although the stock rebounded 15% in three days, it's still down 60% from the peak.

Then on December 2nd, even bigger news hit: the new Fed chair candidate is basically confirmed. Kevin Hassett's support shot up from 40% to 86% in a week, while Kevin Warsh dropped to just 8%. Trump said the official announcement will come "early next year," but the market is already betting on it—a dovish, crypto-friendly pick, which is exciting just to think about.

Looking at the data: the probability of a 25 basis point rate cut in December is now 93%, and there's a 26% chance of another cut in January 2026. Capital moves faster than anyone else, and that's why prices have bounced right back to pre-crash levels.

Ultimately, it's the combination of institutional action and policy expectations that explains this round of rebound.

What are these institutions hinting at? Feels like there will be major moves after Hassett takes office.

I've seen through it. These institutions are just buying the dip during the policy window, while retail investors are still tangled up with technical analysis. The big players have already calculated the Fed's moves.

Institutions are buying like crazy, and rate cut expectations are causing turbulence again. This rebound doesn't look simple at all. A dovish Federal Reserve coming into play is real good news for us crypto folks. I've been optimistic about this for a while.

Institutions are frantically stockpiling, while retail investors are still hesitating about whether to buy—what a gap...

Institutions are frantically buying up, while we retail investors are still hesitating... That's the gap.
