A bit magical - the Gas fees on the Ethereum Mainnet are now as low as $0.02, which is surprisingly cheaper than many Layer 2s.
Looking through the historical data, since the DeFi boom in 2020, Gas has probably never been this low. Now, on-chain transfers can be completed with just 0.1 Gwei, costing less than two cents per transaction.
This can reflect the market temperature: the more idle the network, the lower the fees. During the DeFi Summer, Gas could soar to hundreds of Gwei, but now the situation is... you can taste it, you can savor it.
