Recently, the community has been in an uproar – can AI really handle trading?

To be honest, the question itself is already off track.

AI trading has never been about whose model is better. What truly makes the difference is how you build the system.

Those who have played with quantitative trading or worked as market makers understand: a reliable trading architecture must clearly separate modules such as signal capture, risk control logic, order execution, position management, and real-time monitoring. Each link should perform its own function without interfering with others.

A model? That's just one of the gears.

Don't be fooled by the three words "large model"—the underlying structure is the key to victory. If the system design is poor, it doesn't matter how strong the model is; if the architecture is solid, even a regular model can outperform Alpha.

This is the truth about AI trading.

Architecture is king; the model is just a tool. Too many people are blinded by the title of large models.

The architecture is where the real skill lies; the model is just a side dish.

Architecture is the key; this guy hit the nail on the head. --- The big model is all just talk; the real money is made by focusing on the details in system design. --- Alright, finally someone has clarified this; otherwise, we would be debating every day whether ChatGPT can do Cryptocurrency Trading. --- When the system collapses, no matter how strong the model is, it’s just a decoration; I completely agree with that. --- Hmm, I like this logic; no pretentiousness, just getting to the point. --- To be honest, the difficulty lies in module splitting; the model is actually the easiest part. --- Someone was doing this last year; if the architecture is done well, even using the most ordinary strategy can yield stable profits. --- The core is still execution and risk control; otherwise, no matter how smart the AI is, it will still Get Liquidated.

It's a dead end; the real money is still in system design. The model is just a flashy thing, while the architecture is the key. For reference only.

Architecture is the king, those who only brag about models are talking nonsense.

The theory of architecture determinism is not wrong, but I think you missed one thing - execution ability. No matter how great the system is, if no one is guarding it, it's just waste paper. --- That's absolutely right, it's just this principle. How many teams have died by ignoring the risk control link, I have seen it with my own eyes. --- The metaphor of the model as a gear is brilliant, may I borrow it? --- Those who understand get it, while those who don't keep dreaming that a large model will make them rich, it's hilarious. --- It feels a bit late for this argument to become popular now, it should have been said three years ago. --- So the key is still system engineering, not AI engineering, right? --- A big truth, most people don't even understand what architecture is, just thinking about tweaking model parameters. --- With this article coming out, many projects are going to feel awkward, haha.
