Don't remind me again today

The Japanese listed company called Remix Point recently did something quite unexpected - it directly cut the 1.2 billion yen that was originally planned to be invested in the Web3 field.

This money was originally intended to be invested in the blockchain verification node business, and there were plans to collaborate with the node operator Omakase. As a result, there has now been a complete turnaround, and all the funds are now being redirected towards battery and energy projects.

To be honest, this rhythm is quite interesting. Last year, a bunch of traditional companies rushed to enter the Web3 space, and this year, some are starting to withdraw? Maybe they found out that node operation isn't as profitable as they imagined, or they think the energy business is more tangible.

That said, transitioning from speculative concepts to real industries aligns with the traditional steady style of Japanese companies. However, for those projects that are still all in on the Web3 track, this signal of big companies turning around is somewhat disheartening.
