Don't remind me again today

Looking back at the trading records from three years ago, the account balance was stuck at the number 1200U. To be honest, my hands were trembling at that time. Previously, I had followed the market to chase hot topics, and as a result, my principal was reduced to just a fraction. Once, a fren saw me staring blankly at my phone and came over to take a look, then laughed: "With this little money, what’s the point of messing around? If you lose more, you won't even have enough to eat out."

But today when I opened my account, the number had jumped to 21,800 U.

There are no mysterious operations, nor did I hit any hundredfold coins, it's all about three words—controlling the position.

The following three are all lessons I bought with real money:

**Rule 1: Always keep some cash on hand, don't go all in.**

No matter how tempting the opportunity looks, I only dare to invest up to 35%. Last month, when ETH pulled back to a key support level, I actually wanted to increase my investment, but I restrained myself and only put in 30%, leaving 70% in my savings account. As a result, a few days later it dropped again by 5%, so I used 20% of my position to buy more, which significantly lowered my cost line. When the rebound happened, it didn't take long for me to break even and even make a little profit. Later, when I talked about this with my fren, she said: "You've learned well now; having some reserves makes you feel calm."

**Article 2: Only engage with projects that are clear.**

The crypto market has new stories every day. Recently, someone recommended that I buy a certain "animal-themed coin," claiming it has already risen tenfold. I went through the white paper thoroughly, and even the team background was vague, so I decisively passed. Now, I only focus on well-researched mainstream projects, such as the Layer 2 expansion progress of ETH and the ecological iteration of SOL. If I can't understand a project, even if others say it can increase tenfold or a hundredfold, I won't be tempted – it's okay to be slow; at least I can sleep soundly at night.

**Article 3: First consider the worst-case scenario, then calculate the gains.**

Before each order, I always prepare a "worst-case scenario": if I buy in with 800U and set a 10% stop-loss, the maximum loss would be 80U, which impacts less than 3% of the total capital. Many people are focused on "making a big comeback", but they never calculate the risks in advance, and as a result, one mistake can lead to total destruction.

In fact, where do small funds get so many miracles? It’s just about engraving the three words "control position" into your mind - not being greedy, not being blind, and not gambling on luck. Even with little money, it can slowly grow.
ETH-8.96%
SOL-9.09%

What the hell, is this real? From 1200 to 21,800? How much can one endure? I can’t help but want to smash my phone when I see it fall by 5%...

Ha, this is the right path, unlike before when I was just an All in sucker. The feeling of rolling slowly is really solid; risk control is the king's way. I won't touch coins I don't understand; this is what investment return is all about in terms of sleep quality. From 1200 to 21,800, that takes a huge mindset; I've learned that. You need to have some reserves in hand, otherwise one pullback can lead to a direct Get Liquidated, it's too risky. You're right; small funds need to be operated meticulously; dreaming of a hundred times return is still for gamblers. I need to remember these three points, especially that worst-case scenario, which I never thought about before. It's really a mindset issue; at the moment of greed, you've basically already lost.

Indeed, flipping from 1200U to over 20,000, this mindset shift is the secret to making money.

Bro, I’m impressed by this logic, it’s easy to say but hard to do. --- From 1200 to 21800, it really isn't luck; it's purely a strong mindset. --- I won't touch a coin that I don't understand, my sleep quality is valuable. --- How are those all in people doing now? Has anyone made money? --- Controlling position sounds simple but is actually very difficult; I still easily get carried away. --- I need to learn the worst-case scenario well; before I was just randomly buying and selling.
