Recently, I came across an interesting public chain - Aptos, which is positioned as Layer 1, emphasizing both speed and low cost.

From a technical perspective, Aptos has several unique features. First, it uses the Move programming language to write smart contracts, a language originally developed by the team at Meta, which emphasizes resource management and security verification, theoretically reducing contract vulnerabilities. In terms of consensus mechanism, it uses an improved version of the BFT protocol called AptosBFT, combined with PoS (Proof of Stake), which ensures both block production speed and a degree of decentralization.

The most attractive feature may be its parallel execution engine. Traditional blockchains process transactions one by one in a queue, while Aptos can run multiple transactions simultaneously, which is why it dares to claim high throughput. For users, this means fast transfer confirmations and low fees—these two points are particularly important during congestion in a bull market.

APT is its native token, with relatively standard functions: paying gas fees, participating in staking for rewards, voting to govern network parameters, and incentivizing validators to maintain the network.

Speaking of the background, Aptos was founded in 2021 by two former Meta employees, Mo Shaikh and Avery Ching. They had previously participated in the Diem project (, which was Facebook's stillborn stablecoin plan ), so they have some technical accumulation. To some extent, Aptos inherits some of the technological genes of Diem, just taking a different market-oriented direction.

Overall, Aptos is pursuing a path that emphasizes both high performance and security in its technology approach, with the Move language, parallel processing, and an optimized consensus mechanism; these elements combined do have a certain competitive edge.
