Speaking of Blockchain in the past decade, it seems that everyone has been going in circles—some use it as a ledger, some use it to run smart contracts, and others turn it directly into an application platform. But to be honest, there are really not many that can upgrade from a "laboratory toy" to a "global infrastructure."
However, the situation has changed recently. You see, stablecoins have basically become the most liquid currency in the internet world, AI Agents are starting to handle actual value tasks, corporate financial systems are also moving towards automation, and regulators in various countries have begun to unify the standards for digital assets. These changes combined, the market is actually calling for something new - not a database, nor a smart contracts platform, but a facility that can "automatically coordinate" value actions on a global scale.
This is what Plasma ($XPL) aims to do. It doesn't compete with you on how high the TPS is, nor does it boast about how fast the EVM runs. The problem it seeks to solve is more fundamental: how to enable individuals, businesses, AIs, and institutions to execute value operations in a certain, traceable, explainable, and low-cost manner within the same monetary system?
In other words, Plasma wants to be not "a certain chain", but a global value operating system - a coordinating infrastructure that connects scenarios such as value orchestration, AI economy, enterprise scripting, regulatory interoperability, cross-border settlement, and micropayments. The transition from "chain" to "value coordination layer" is quite interesting.

This "value coordination layer" sounds a bit vague, how exactly does the coordination work?

Sounds good, but can it be implemented? Many projects talk a good game.

That's right, but I've heard this trap too many times... In the end, it's just another financing story.

It sounds like another "world-changing" BTC, but I have to say - this time the logic is indeed a bit different. But can XPL really connect these things together? Or is it just another PPT project?

Sounds good, but can Plasma really tie these scenarios together? It still feels a bit exaggerated right now.
