Don't remind me again today

When the market is chaotic, what is your first reaction?

Most people think: quickly find a reliable place to keep their money safe. This is the meaning of the existence of "safe-haven assets"—those things that remain stable as a mountain in a storm. Naturally, the currency that carries these assets becomes the "safe-haven currency."

What kind of currency can withstand the storms? The core points are: stable national politics, solid economic fundamentals, good trading prospects (strong liquidity), and market confidence.

**Dollar: No one can move the position of the Big Brother**

When it comes to hedging, one cannot avoid the US dollar. Why?

Just look at the data. Global foreign exchange reserves? The dollar takes the lion's share. International trade settlements? The dollar has the final say. Pricing power for bulk commodities like oil and gold? Still the dollar. When a crisis hits, where does the money flow? The place with the best liquidity—the answer is still the dollar.

Looking again at the U.S. financial markets. The treasury bond market is unparalleled globally, with hundreds of billions of dollars flowing in and out without blinking an eye. Price fluctuations? Minimal. This kind of "come and go as you please" convenience is truly unmatched elsewhere.

Of course, the size of the U.S. economy and its military strength are also evident. This is the ultimate guarantee of the dollar's credit. In other words, when panic sets in, everyone's instinctive reaction is: "First, exchange for dollars, stabilize things before anything else."

**Swiss Franc: The Low-Key Safe Bet**

In addition to the US dollar, there is another contender that must be mentioned - the Swiss Franc.

How special is Switzerland as a country? A permanent neutral country, not taking sides for hundreds of years, never getting involved in geopolitical disputes. This attribute of being a "political safe haven" naturally attracts global capital.

The institutional level is also hardcore. A mature democratic system, an ultra-low corruption rate, and a highly developed financial system. Although the banking secrecy system has loosened in recent years, it has indeed provided top-notch privacy protection for assets throughout history.

If we talk about per capita wealth? Switzerland is the highest in the world.

The medical record shows that the liquidity indicators of safe-haven assets do indeed determine the severity of capital outflow symptoms... However, there are also many cases where this theory has failed in the crypto world, so it is recommended to regularly review the applicability of traditional financial models.

Here we go again, when the market falls, it's always about piling into the dollar? We're already tired of this over here, Bitcoin is the real safe-haven asset, okay?

The US dollar is forever the god, but I still have more confidence in Bitcoin's long-term hedging properties.

The US dollar is the eternal god, but I have more faith in BTC's performance in chaos, ngl.
