A top exchange's institutional strategist dropped some wisdom on a finance podcast late November—turns out dollar-cost averaging might just be your best move right now.
John D'Agostino, who leads institutional strategy at a major crypto platform, pointed out something interesting during the November 24th episode: active Bitcoin wallet numbers today? Pretty much identical to where they sat three years back.
The implication's clear—while price action grabs headlines, on-chain activity tells a steadier story. DCA keeps you in the game without trying to time tops and bottoms.

Wallet activity hasn't changed in three years, which shows that most people are still betting on price, and there are very few who are actually doing something.
DCA is indeed brainless, but being brainless also means you won't get rekt. It might be the most comfortable way to live.

DCA sounds very stable, but how many can really stick to it... Three years and the wallet amount hasn't changed, what does that indicate?

DCA sounds simple but really requires the right mindset; not everyone can stick with it until the end.

DCA sounds good, but it still depends on how many coins I have. How can I average down without money?

DCA is indeed the most naive solution, but ironically the most effective... What does it mean that the number of wallets remains unchanged? It means that large investors are the ones playing, while retail investors have already run away.

This DCA method really doesn't lie. Compared to watching K-lines every day to buy the dip and try to time the top which is exhausting and losing money... it's much more reassuring to use Auto-Invest.
