Held from November 17 to 20 between Barcelona and Madrid, it brought together more than 1100 registrants, 150 speakers, 54 sponsors, and 21 media partners, establishing itself as a key space to discuss innovation, talent, and business models in an industry pressured by digitalization, AI, and new regulatory frameworks.

From the opening at the Barcelona Stock Exchange to the large-scale events at Kinépolis Madrid, the event left a clear idea: the competitiveness of the financial system will depend on its ability to adopt technology, redesign processes, and attract new professional profiles.

Financial ecosystem: data, risk, and constant innovation

The first panels addressed leadership in times of prolonged uncertainty, highlighting the shift from a risk-focused approach to reinvention. It was emphasized how the integration of advanced analytics, AI, and alternative data redefines risk models, scoring, and credit recovery.

The panel on data strategy highlighted the direct link between artificial intelligence and operational sustainability, while other discussions emphasized the advancement of voice agents and AI in recovery and collections processes.

The evolution of roles and competencies in banking was also analyzed, which is transitioning towards omnichannel and data-driven models, where transversal skills - agile learning, collaboration, customer experience - become decisive.

Digital banking, Open Finance and tokenization: the new European standard

Finance Week delved into generative AI-based financial products, intersectoral Open Finance strategies, and the evolution of European digital identity, from personal wallets to the European Business Wallet.

This was joined by the discussion on the transformation of SME credit, marked by digitalization, process optimization, and improvement of customer experience.

At the same time, tokenization and blockchain infrastructure have positioned themselves as pillars for a more interoperable and transparent banking system. The exploration of common standards was one of the most highlighted points by experts and technology providers.

Smart Recovery, Legaltech, and NPLs: efficiency as a mandate

The event dedicated a central block to the transformation of recovery, highlighting the collaboration between banks and servicers, judicial automation, and adaptation to the regulation LO 1/2025.

Legaltech in judicial recovery demonstrated how the digitization of courts and procedures is accelerating operational efficiency, although it still faces adoption challenges.

In the debate on NPL trends, the impact of re-performing portfolios and the transition to collaborative models in collections was analyzed, where artificial intelligence replaces the traditional logic based on call intensity.

Cybersecurity, fraud, and digital trust

Security and AI fraud, along with the advancement of decentralized infrastructures and verifiable credentials, took center stage. Technology leaders shared cloud strategies and digital protection models aimed at balancing control, innovation, and scalability in an increasingly exposed environment.

CMS TOP30 Finance Leaders 2025 Awards

The edition closed with the presentation of the CMS TOP30 Finance Leaders, a collaborative recognition that highlights the 30 professionals driving financial transformation in Europe.

With 21,000 votes, 7,000 participants, and 60 nominees, the awards celebrated leadership, innovation, and the real impact of financial talent. Pablo Salamone, president of CMS People, emphasized the importance of highlighting those who set the course for the sector, while Sebastián Duh presented the winners in a closing that symbolizes the maturity of the ecosystem.

Conclusion

Finance Week 2025 left an unequivocal message: financial transformation in Spain is not a concept, it is an ongoing process. From AI and tokenization to Legaltech and intelligent recovery, the sector is moving towards a more efficient, interoperable, and customer-centric model, driven by collaboration between banks, fintechs, servicers, and new digital profiles.
