Don't remind me again today

The world of cryptocurrency is like an endless tide. Some coins ride the waves, while others are stranded on the shore. Bitcoin Cash (BCH), once the idealist proclaiming to “surpass Bitcoin,” now seems to have gradually become a mere footnote of its era amidst the noise of the market.

In recent days, BCH has surged again. Its price soared to $533.5, with a 24-hour increase of over 10%, and trading volume broke through 190 million. For a moment, it seemed as if the former “king of hard forks” had returned. However, behind this brief surge lies a deeper sense of desolation—it is no longer the “future of payments” that many pinned their hopes on, but more like an old dream selectively forgotten by capital, occasionally pumping, occasionally reminding people of its existence.

Once upon a time, BCH was born in the name of scaling, carrying the ideal of “peer-to-peer electronic cash,” attempting to challenge Bitcoin’s constraints. Back then, it stood at the crossroads of technology and belief, seen by many as the “real Bitcoin.” But what about now? Bitcoin remains firmly on the throne, while BCH has gradually faded from the spotlight with each bull and bear cycle. It’s not that it hasn’t tried hard enough, but this market has never believed in sentimentality—only in choices.

Some say BCH was abandoned by capital. Perhaps more accurately, it was eliminated by the choices of the times. Every bull market brings new narratives: DeFi, NFT, Layer2… But BCH seems stuck in the previous cycle. It still sees technical updates, has a loyal community, and occasionally benefits from exchange news—like Coinbase’s upcoming BCH futures or the quantum-resistant Quantumroot protocol—but these rarely manage to ignite collective excitement in the market.

It’s not BCH’s fault, but the cruelty of the market. Cryptocurrency has never been a contest of “who has the better technology wins,” but a battle for attention, capital, and narrative. BCH didn’t lose to Bitcoin, but to time.

Yet, we shouldn’t be too quick to write its epitaph. Every pump is a revisiting of old dreams; every fluctuation is a call to memory. BCH may no longer be the star at center stage, but it still quietly tells a story of “idealism and reality” from the sidelines.

For investors, BCH’s ups and downs are more like a mirror: they remind us that choice often matters more than effort. In this endless marathon of the crypto world, having technology alone isn’t enough, nor is belief. Only ever-evolving narratives and a rhythm that resonates with the times can endure cycles and avoid being forgotten.

Bull markets create heroes, and bear markets bury legends. As for BCH, it stands quietly in its own twilight, waiting for the next dawn—or an endless night. $BCH #逆势上涨币种推荐
