Joseph Chalom, former top manager at BlackRock and current CEO of SharpLink, stated that Ethereum is the only network that institutional investors are willing to trust.
▪️ Why ETH specifically
Ethereum combines trust, security, and liquidity — the three main criteria of Wall Street. Most stablecoins, tokenized assets, and smart contracts are issued on it.
▪️ ETH as a "productive asset"
Unlike Bitcoin, which simply sits in wallets, ETH yields about 3% annually through staking.
At SharpLink, more than $3 billion in ETH has already been staked, and they are testing restaking strategies with Consensys, Linea, and EigenLayer.
"Over time, we will no longer distinguish between DeFi and TradFi. There will simply be finance. And the foundation of this finance will be Ethereum," emphasized Chalom.
