To achieve success in trading, one must first get through that period of cognitive anxiety. This stage is painful, but once crossed, success is no longer far away. By then, whether it is a seven-figure or eight-figure asset, it will be easy to manage.

This article is for brothers who are in a period of confusion. Newbies, pay attention; it will definitely help you avoid detours.

Many people believe that successful trading is about being quick-witted, sharp-minded, technically skilled, and having a high win rate—essentially being a "smart person." To be frank: I don’t trade based on intelligence, but rather through persistent endurance.

To be honest, I'm not a particularly smart person,
I am neither the kind of person who can see through the market at a glance and quickly grasp the key points, nor am I someone who learns everything at lightning speed.
On the contrary, when I just entered the industry, I made almost all the common mistakes that everyone else made, including frequent trading, heavily investing in speculation, chasing highs and cutting losses, and not setting stop losses, etc. Many people think it's all about persistence, but in fact, it's just holding on stubbornly.

Get through the "cognitive anxiety period"

I entered the circle in 2017, and in the first few years, I thought losses were due to insufficient skills, so I frantically read books, learned indicators, looked for courses, studied everything from Elliott Wave Theory, Bollinger Bands, candlestick charts, moving averages, to Gann master charts; I learned whatever was popular.

However, as I learn more and more, my mind becomes increasingly confused, as I often encounter conflicting indicators and signals, and I also face clashes between different people and different trading philosophies.

Because I just started, I keep learning, continuously testing, and constantly switching systems, which makes me more and more confused.

Later I realized that this wasn't a technical issue, but a cognitive anxiety. You know too much but are unclear on how to use it; you've seen too much but haven't built your own judgment framework. So everything I learned at that time was just a pile of garbage.

That time was truly the darkest moment of my life, because with one failed strategy after another, I began to deeply doubt myself, wondering if I was too stupid. At that time, social media was not so developed, and there was no one to guide me; it was really difficult to get out of a dead end.

Later, after reading many books, such as "Trend Trading Method" and "The Clear Realm", I did a lot of reviews of the various trading methods in them. I found that I didn't need to receive so much "noise"; I only needed a few indicators, a system, to trade a few currencies, and to focus on one type of market.

I started to get rid of useless tools and keep only the most essential indicators. The shift from pursuing "knowing more" to "understanding clearly" is a painful transition, but it is necessary to go through.

After simplifying things, I was able to see many truths about trading clearly, which ultimately helped me find my own path.

If you don't get past the cognitive anxiety barrier, you'll forever be wandering in system changes, direction changes, and strategy changes, and your trading will definitely be stagnant.

So wanting to get rich is not just about luck; the key is that you have to overcome more difficulties than others. Not everyone has the opportunity to earn 7 or 8 figures, but actually every cryptocurrency enthusiast has the chance to earn.
