Analysis: Bitcoin's open interest contracts have decreased by 30% from the October high last year, laying the foundation for a bullish rebound.

The open interest in Bitcoin derivatives has decreased by approximately 30% since October last year, indicating a deleveraging signal that may help clear excessive market leverage. While this decline typically signals a market bottom and a bullish recovery, if Bitcoin continues to fall, open interest could further contract, leading to a deeper correction. The current price increase accompanied by a decline in open interest suggests spot buying is driving the market, but it has not yet entered a bullish phase.

NVIDIA invests another $20 billion; is the Groq deal the dawn of decentralized AI?

NVIDIA recently agreed to spend approximately $20 billion to acquire the core assets of AI chip startup Groq. This not only becomes one of NVIDIA's largest deals in history but also once again confirms its consistent strategy of preemptively "acquiring" potential competitors before they grow into threats. Although the transaction is described as a non-exclusive licensing agreement rather than a direct acquisition, the market generally perceives its actual effect as equivalent to deep integration. Just three months ago, Groq completed a $750 million funding round, reaching a valuation of $6.9 billion, with a significant increase in valuation in a short period. The funding lineup included BlackRock, Samsung, Cisco, and 1789 Capital, which has close ties to former President Donald Trump. In this deal, Groq's cloud computing business will be retained, while its core technology and key talent will be integrated into the NVIDIA ecosystem. Groq's founder and CEO, Jonathan Ross (one of the core designers of Google TPU), will join NVIDIA along with several other executives, and Groq will continue to operate independently under its current CFO.

Ethereum developer barry has announced new progress on zkEVM private smart contracts: it supports private user states but does not have private global states.

Golden Finance reported that Ethereum developer barryWhiteHat stated that with the commercialization of the zero-knowledge proof Virtual Machine (zkEVM), an interesting opportunity has arisen: it can provide private smart contract infrastructure while maintaining compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Developers can write Solidity code and compile it using a specific version of the Solidity compiler or some post-processing tools to create private smart contracts. There are some important trade-offs surrounding private global state and privacy, the core reason being: to prove something, one must know what they are proving. Therefore, there cannot be such a private smart contract - one that has a globally public state that you do not know. It follows that there cannot be a private smart contract with a global private state either. For example, applications like Uniswap cannot operate privately.
