On March 30, local time March 30, when addressing concerns raised by Europe and other places about rising fuel prices and increasing Gulf shipping costs, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei said that Iran is not responsible for the current situation, and that it does not want people in other countries to bear pressure due to increases in fuel or food prices. Baghaei also said that, while ensuring security, Iran currently manages passage for vessels that are not hostile to it.
