Asia-Pacific and European stock markets plunge, South Korea's KOSPI triggers circuit breaker

Gate News reports that on March 23, European stock index futures declined further, with the STOXX 50 Index (European blue-chip stock index) futures down 1.1% and the German DAX Index (Germany’s benchmark stock index) futures down 1.2%. The Korea Exchange triggered a circuit breaker after KOSPI 200 (Korea Composite Stock Price Index 200) futures fell 5%, pausing algorithmic trading for 5 minutes. The Nikkei 225 Index (Japan’s benchmark stock index) dropped further to 4%.
