The Federal Council adopted measures at the beginning of the year to strengthen consumer rights in online commerce. A key focus is on simplifying the withdrawal process for online shopping: in the future, buyers should be able to return their orders easily with just a few clicks. This regulation aims to significantly improve consumer protection in digital trade.
In addition to the withdrawal regulation, an extensive agenda with over 60 items was on the program. Controversial topics such as combating greenwashing, arms deliveries to the Bundeswehr, and other political priorities were discussed.
