I’ve been using Gate for about 4 years now. My early period was entirely about trial and error, trying to understand the market. It was a time when I didn’t really know what I was doing and mostly relied on intuition.
My most unforgettable trade actually happened by pure coincidence. I had bought a coin without really knowing what it was at the time, and shortly after, it experienced a significant surge. In that moment, a mix of inexperience and luck led to a nice profit. However, it didn’t last long; because I continued to act without proper knowledge, I eventually gave all those gains back.
That experience became a turning point for me. After losing what I had gained, I realized more clearly that the market is not a place driven by luck, and that sustainable success is only possible through strategy. From that point on, I completely changed my approach.
Now, instead of focusing on sudden green or red candles on the chart, I try to understand what the market might do next. I started reading the structure behind price movements rather than reacting to short-term fluctuations. This shift in perspective has made my trading style much calmer, more planned, and more disciplined.
Looking back today, I can say that my first “lucky win” was actually the moment that taught me my biggest lesson.
