The 139th Canton Fair has added 9 new zones for the first time, including smart wearables.
Caijing News reports that on April 10, the Ministry of Commerce held a special press conference for the 139th Canton Fair.
It was introduced that the 139th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou in three phases from April 15 to May 5, with a total exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, a total of 75.7k booths, and over 32k participating companies, all exceeding previous editions.
Among them, approximately 3,900 companies will make their debut.
Currently, all preparations are progressing smoothly and are basically ready.
Wang Zhihua, Director of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce, introduced that the exhibition zones at this year’s Canton Fair have increased to 179, with nine new zones added for the first time, including smart wearables, display technology, consumer drones, integrated housing, and courtyard facilities.
There are more than 11k high-quality enterprises with titles such as specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative, as well as single champion enterprises, an increase of 5.1%, surpassing previous editions.
Among them, 61% of the companies have applied new technologies and models such as industrial internet, artificial intelligence, 5G, and green low-carbon in their production or services.
