Coin World News reported, ME News reported, on April 10th (UTC+8), local AI application Locally AI announced its official integration into the local large model application LM Studio. The two parties will merge resources and teams to jointly promote the popularization of local large models. Locally AI stated in the announcement that the two products share a high degree of alignment in vision — dedicated to creating excellent local AI product experiences for all users and making the use threshold for local models lower and more accessible. The field of local large model tools is currently undergoing an acceleration of consolidation. LM Studio has previously been one of the products with the largest user base among local model runtime tools. This acquisition further strengthens its leading position in this track and also sends a signal: as the costs and privacy concerns of cloud AI continue to attract attention, the competition in the local inference tool market is shifting from “a hundred flowers blooming” to “strong players consolidating.”
