On April 10th, U.S. President Trump stated in an interview that he has asked Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to be "more discreet" in military operations in Lebanon to align with the U.S. diplomatic efforts to broker a ceasefire with Iran. Trump said he had spoken with Netanyahu, who agreed to "reduce the intensity of operations," and indicated that Israel is "scaling back" its military activities in Lebanon. Previously, there were reports that Trump, during the call, asked Israel to reduce strikes on Lebanon and to engage in negotiations with the Lebanese government to discuss disarming Hezbollah.
