According to informed sources, Turkey is conducting intensive diplomatic efforts to prevent Gulf Arab countries from joining the United States and Israel in a war against Iran.

Sources said Ankara has urged Gulf nations to exercise restraint. Due to the sensitive nature of the matter, these sources requested anonymity. Turkey has stepped up diplomatic mediation, with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan visiting Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, and speaking with officials from other regional countries.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated after a cabinet meeting on Tuesday evening: “We do not want this war to turn into a war of attrition among the countries in this region. Retaliatory actions, especially against Gulf countries, carry such risks.”
