Serbian President Vučić stated at a press conference held in Belgrade on March 30 that if oil prices continue to rise and ground battles occur in Iran, the entire world, especially Europe, will face the biggest energy and economic disaster in history. He said: “A few days ago, oil was still $65 per barrel, today it has reached $115, and it will soon double. The worst part is, it won’t stop there… Who will pay the price for this? The public cannot afford it, and no country can bear it.” Vučić called on Europe to pay attention to the increasingly severe energy situation, promote negotiations with other suppliers, and work to alleviate the oil crisis. It is reported that on March 30, Vučić held a telephone conversation with Russian President Putin and reached an agreement to extend the Russian natural gas supply. The agreement will extend the existing Russian natural gas supply contract to Serbia by three months. (CCTV News)
