Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered a written New Year message on the occasion of Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, on the 20th. He congratulated the nation on Eid al-Fitr and Nowruz, and set the slogan for the new year as “Achieving Economic Resilience Under the Shelter of National Unity and Security.”

Khamenei reviewed the past year’s two wars and one riot, congratulating on the victories achieved, and expressed mourning and sympathy for the martyrs and their families. He thanked every citizen involved in resisting hegemony and the “brave presidents and officials” standing with the people. He stated that the unprecedented unity shown by Iranians has caused the enemies to suffer setbacks.

Khamenei said, “The enemies have been exploiting our economic and administrative weaknesses.” Ensuring people’s livelihoods, improving infrastructure, and creating wealth for the public are key to countering economic warfare. Therefore, he has set the slogan for the Iranian New Year as “Achieving Economic Resilience Under the Shelter of National Unity and Security,” and he promised that a comprehensive plan has been developed and will be implemented.

Khamenei reiterated his commitment to maintaining friendly relations with neighboring countries and expressed willingness to assist in improving relations with Afghanistan and Pakistan. He specifically clarified, “The recent attacks in Turkey and Oman are not carried out by Iran’s armed forces or resistance fronts. These are false accusations by enemies aiming to sow regional discord.”
