On the 10th local time, the Hungarian Parliament passed a proposal opposing Ukraine’s accession to the EU and supporting the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The proposal calls on the government to support maintaining international peace, not to provide funds and weapons to Ukraine, and to prevent Hungary or the EU from getting involved in the war; it also welcomes the government to seek public opinion through a nationwide petition on funding Ukraine. The proposal urges the government to take necessary measures to stop the EU from continuing to support the Ukraine conflict; prevent Hungarian funds or EU funds allocated to Hungary from flowing to Ukraine; and reject budget proposals that would allocate most of the funds meant for Hungary to support Ukraine.
